Kite rental in Mui Ne

Kite rental in Mui Ne

KITENAM is the official Airush kite center in Vietnam. Our full rental fleet is current-season Airush gear, refreshed every year.

What’s in the fleet

Kites from 5 to 14 m² — the full range for any wind condition. And not just sizes, but different models for different riding styles:

  • Lithium — versatile freeride, Airush’s legendary all-rounder. Suits most riders.
  • One and Ultra — wave-riding kites, tuned for working with waves.
  • Lift — big air, when you want height and power.

Boards across disciplines: wave, freestyle, freeride. Several bar types. Rental sets include everything — kite, bar, board, harness. Helmet and an impact or safety vest on request.

A lot of riders fly with their own kite but no board — boards are expensive to bring. Renting just a board or just a bar, without the full set, is no problem.

Foils and wingfoils

The fleet includes hydrofoils and wingfoils — for quiet morning sessions or low-wind days. On Malibu, the waves make foiling in full wind impractical, so this is something for advanced riders who go out early before the spot fires up. Included in the standard rental price list.

Choosing a kite size

The two main factors are wind strength and rider weight. The basic rule: more wind, smaller kite. In Mui Ne’s high season, working sizes are 7–9 m². Your instructor picks the exact size on the day — takes a minute.

If you’re renting regularly and the wind shifts during the day, swapping for a different size or model is a standard service — no extra charge.

Prices

Hourly, daily and weekly rental of the full set; kite-only and board-only options available. Instructor coaching on the water available as an extra.

Beach-boy service

A beach-boy works on the spot, launching and landing kites. For an extra charge: pump up your kite, set up and pack down after the session. Handy if you want to spend time on the water, not on rigging.

Who can rent

Rentals are for confident riders only. Malibu has waves up to 3.5 metres, and that’s risky for the gear and for you. Before handing over a kite, the instructor watches you ride — goes out with you and looks at your first moves. No certification replaces this check: IKO and other papers don’t count here.

If you haven’t ridden in a while or aren’t sure about your level — take the first session with an instructor on the water. That’s smarter than going out alone and risking the gear and yourself.

Equipment liability

No deposit. If gear is damaged through rider fault — $100 compensation plus repair cost. There’s no equipment insurance, which is standard practice for kite stations.

Malibu only

Rental gear stays on our spot. Taking a rental set to another spot is not allowed.
